2021 Cityfest juried art show and preview reception and award winners.
The City of Auburn and the Auburn Arts Association would like to thank artists and community members for taking part in the 16th annual Juried Art Show and Preview Reception. This free to the public event was held on the evening of Thursday, April 22nd.
Local and regional artists submitted original works of art from an array of mediums such as paintings, works on paper, three-dimensional (ceramics/sculptures), mixed-media and photography. All submitted artwork was available for viewing and purchase at the historic Nunn-Winston House in Kiesel Park. Working in conjunction with the 20th Annual Auburn CityFest, the art exhibition remained open to the public during the festival on Sunday, April 25th.
Guest mingled with artists while they enjoyed live musical entertainment by Philip Rowton and delicious complimentary hors d’oeuvres provided by The Cup & Saucer.
This event would not have been possible without our sponsors: The Auburn Arts Association, The City of Auburn, Auburn-Opelika Tourism, and The Cup & Saucer Market and Café.
During the evening, twelve awards were given, including two best-in-show awards awarded by Auburn-Opelika tourism. Auburn-Opelika Tourism is a non-profit service organizing driving economic impact and improving the quality of life in our community through tourism and travel. Each Best in Show Award equaled $250.
