Empty Bowls to Benefit the Food Bank of East Alabama
In the fight against hunger, even the youngest potter can make a difference! In the “Wee Make Empty Bowls” class held at Dean Road Ceramic Studio, budding potters have created some special bowls to help raise awareness about food insecurities in our area. To promote the upcoming Empty Bowls dinner, held on February 23 at the Jan Dempsey Community Art Center, the class will hold a reception during which the parents of our young potters will bring canned goods to exchange for their child’s clay bowl. The reception will be held on Wednesday, January 30, at the Dean Road Ceramics Studio from 4:00-5:00 PM.
If you would like to purchase tickets to attend the Empty Bowls event held on February 23, tickets may be purchased beginning January 28 for a $20 donation at the Dean Road Ceramics Studio in Auburn.
